Mary, nun, compassionate, caring a worker for Christ. Miraculously healed of stage 4 cancer loves God.

Sister Mary

Hello,

I am from South Jersey and come from a family with two other siblings.  My father was like my best friend and when he died too early in life, I began to understand loss and its painful emotions.  I developed a love for helping veterans knowing their pain must be deep at times.  After connecting with Mother Elizabeth and Fr. Jack, I have been more excited about the establishment of the Order of the Companions and the parish.  I work with the order on a daily basis to help get more members as well as participate in the works of charity. I also am very happy to be a member of the parish and look forward to seeing God's work spread in a profound and wonderful way.

My Story

Mary-Sister Mary Brown grew up Christian but received her baptism, first communion and confirmation through the Roman Catholic Church in 2008. Sister Mary Brown has spent 20 years in retail as a manager, but a terminal cancer diagnosis changed the course of her life.  While doctors insisted, she had less than a year to live, Sister Mary, through God’s gracious intervention, remains the only known survivor of her type of cancer at a stage 4.  She is now considered medically free of cancer, a first.  Now over ten years later, she is still on her Godly journey!   She recently finished her Associates Degree in Psychology and will be attending Rowan University in Fall of 2022.  During her slow times, she spends time with her family, friends, and dog Sophie!
